After getting your opponent on defense, it’s important to continue putting pressure on them by attacking the next ball. Getting yourself in the correct position is vital to being able to properly attack the second ball. The common mistakes that players make are staying back behind the baseline, or running to the net. If you stay behind the baseline, then you won’t be able to take the next ball early and apply pressure. If you run to the net, you won’t be able to get up there fast enough and will be stuck out of position. The best thing to do is to take a step inside the baseline and look to attack the next ball.
